Our special Barnsley Hospice Charity Blanket has been created in the hospice's famous orange colour, with 100% of profits donated directly to Barnsley Hospice to help fund care and support for patients from the moment of diagnosis.

This blanket is especially close to our hearts. Following Vicky’s cancer diagnosis, the owner and founder of Yorkshire Blankets. The support she has received from Barnsley Hospice through their therapies, massage treatments and wellbeing services has been invaluable. The care, kindness and compassion shown by the team have made a real difference to her journey and to our family.

We wanted to find a way to give back to this incredible charity and help ensure they can continue providing these vital services to others who need them.

For Ultimate Comfort

Product Care

 Wool Blend Range – 80% Wool 20% Mixed Fibres

(Wool Blend Blankets, Cushions, Capes, Ponchos, Draught Excluders)

We recommend a 30 degree or cooler wool wash or hand wash.
DO NOT TUMBLE DRY 

Luxury Pure Wool Range – 100% Wool

(Luxury Pure Wool Blankets, Cushions, Capes)

We recommend hand wash or dry clean. DO NOT TUMBLE DRY

Foot Pouffes

If a refill is needed after time, open both zips on base, and fill with old cushion/pillow wadding, or any old material and re-zip.

To clean Pouffe cover we recommend to use a damp sponge or baby wipes and leave to air dry.

Shipping

We usually post out orders on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (can differ). If you need any special delivery such as next day, please contact us before placing your
order.

Yodel and Royal Mail are 2-3 working days from parcel being posted.

Our shipping costs depend on the combined weight and the delivery address of your order. The postage costs will be calculated and confirmed on completion of checkout.

Free postage ?

Many other online companies incorporate shipping costs into the items price, and therefore even though you think you are receiving free postage, in fact you have already paid it. As we sell online and retail, we always keep our prices the same and therefore postage has to be added on top. As a small business, this is something we
cannot cover, and so cannot offer free postage. We ensure we are fair to all customers with our prices, online and retail, and we hope you can all understand this.

Delivery

Most of our orders are sent out via Yodel Direct, so you can track and divert your parcel to suit you. All updates of your order come directly from Yodel Direct to your email (check your spam!) Please contact them if you have any questions regarding your parcel as this is something we can’t control.

Small items only (£2 postage) will come via Royal Mail Large Letter.

Good news! Yorkshire Blankets do ship abroad, please contact us for a quote before placing your order.

Collections

If you live local to Barnsley or any of our markets (see events page), you can opt to collect your order.

If you would like to collect your order from our Warehouse at Stairfoot or Made and Found
Yorkshire, The Glass Works, Barnsley, please contact us before ordering so we can let you know a date and time we will be there or available to collect from
the shop.

If collecting from one of our markets, this is subject to prior arrangement and can be changed due to adverse weather/illness.

Unfortunately, we do not offer Free Returns and this cost is to be covered by yourself.

We give clear descriptions and photos of our products, however, if you would prefer to see them in person, visit one of our retailers or markets.

Eco through and through.

Our beautiful eco-friendly wool blankets are all woven in Yorkshire mills, using surplus yarn at the end of each week. These yarns previously went to landfill.

Each blanket is individually hand cut and finished by ourselves. The blankets are constantly changing colour depending on the yarns used in the mill that week. Each roll of blanket is unique and never repeated.

We hand-make home wear, accessories, gifts and clothing from these yarns in Yorkshire. Nothing goes to waste, as our scraps are all used within our products.
